Our Story
Hi! I'm Leelo and this is my husband, Evan. Evan is a Vietnam-era disabled veteran, and somewhere along the way his medical history became large enough to qualify for its own filing cabinet.
Doctors. Specialists. Tests. Surgeries. Old problems. New problems. And, of course, the occasional “Wait… what year did THAT happen?”
Trying to explain all of it during a doctor’s appointment was getting ridiculous. Our daughter came to help but it was even a lot for all 3 of us.
Providers changed frequently so it meant starting over again with the history and explanations,

You know how it goes. You have 47 things you want to remember, the doctor asks one question you weren’t expecting, and suddenly you can’t remember why you walked into the building.
So finally I asked Evan to gather all the important information so I could put everything in order. I then created a concise medical history summary explaining how he arrived at his current conditions.
Once he had the file, he uploaded it to My HealtheVet so his VA healthcare team could read the organized version instead of depending on us to perform a live reenactment of the last 30 years.
Much better.
RESULTS: Within 48 hours of uploading the document, Evan was phoned by the VA care team 2 times, to set up additional appointments, that would ordinarily have taken him a minimum of 3 months to get.
And this was actually just one of probably a hundred experiences in my own life that eventually led me to create LuxeDox. As a professional writer and author the task feels almost organic, like what I was called to do. And I've done it many times since, for all sorts of other situations.
Because life has a funny way of producing situations where you think, “Someone needs to put all of this into a document that actually makes sense.”
Medical histories. Refund requests. Account problems. Important meetings. Complaints. Complicated situations with six dates, three people, nine phone calls and one person who insists they have no record of any of it.
That’s the kind of problem we help solve at LuxeDox.
Our daughter, Ava, and I first had the idea for LuxeDox years ago. Over time, experiences like these kept reminding us how often people find themselves dealing with stressful, complicated situations and aren’t quite sure how to organize the details, explain what happened, or ask clearly for what they need.
So we finally created LuxeDox to help people and families like ours bring order to those uncomfortable moments, make sense of the information, and create clear, thoughtful documents that can help move things toward a solution.
You give us the pieces. We help organize them and turn them into something clear, professional and useful.
Life can be funny. But at LuxeDox, we’re serious about getting it right.
